Special Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee dedicated to the 32nd Anniversary of the Establishment of the Assembly, Istanbul, 27 February 2025
The Special Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee dedicated to the 32nd Anniversary of the Establishment of the Assembly was held in Istanbul on 27 February 2025. The Heads of National Delegations from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, and Türkiye participated in the meeting. The Meeting was also attended by the representatives of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat and the Union of Road Transport Associations of the BSEC region.
The PABSEC marks the day of its establishment
We congratulate all the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation on the day of the establishment of the Assembly and wish many more years of cooperation for the benefit of the states and the peoples in the BSEC Region.
Participation of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, in the 24th Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Vienna, 20-21 February 2025
On 20-21 February 2025, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General took part in the 24th Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna at the Hofburg Congress Centre. Parliamentary delegations from OSCE countries, representatives of OSCE structures, and representatives of international organizations and parliamentary assemblies participated in the Meeting.
Participation of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, in the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), Baku, 19-20 February 2025
On 19-20 February 2025, the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) was held in Baku dedicated to the topic “The Role of Parliamentary Diplomacy in Strengthening Multilateral Cooperation in Asia”. The Session was attended by more than 280 delegates from 35 countries, speakers of parliaments of several countries, as well as representatives of international organizations. The Plenary Session also implied the meetings of the APA committees.
The PABSEC International Secretariat expresses its warmest congratulations on the National Day of the Republic of Serbia.

On 10 February 2025, Academician Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General visited Istanbul University and met with the Rector of the University Professor Osman Bulent Zulfikar and the leadership of the University.

Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the Coordination Meeting of the Azerbaijani BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office with the Committee of Senior Officials, the BSEC Related Bodies and the BSEC PERMIS, which was held online on 10 February 2025.

On 5-6 February 2025, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General , paid a working visit to Sofia, where he met with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, PABSEC Vice-President in charge of Financial Matters, PABSEC Special Representative in the International Organizations on Science and Education.
