On 28 November 2023, Mr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul, and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Mr. Daniel DULCA, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the Stratcom Summit ‘23, under the theme “Global Response to Hybrid Threats: Stability. Security. Solidarity.”, which was hosted by the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, in Istanbul, on 24-25 November 2023.
Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee took part in the BSEC Working Group on Information and Communication Technologies that was held online on 22 November 2023.
On 21 November 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the conferences of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States (TURKPA), organized in Baku as part of the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Assembly.
The 62nd PABSEC General Assembly was held in Kyiv in a hybrid format on 15-17 November 2023 upon the invitation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Parliamentary delegations from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine took part in the work of the General Assembly.
On 14 November 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, met with Mr. Ruslan Stefanchuk, PABSEC President, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the Parliamentary Dialogue Series, jointly organized by the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), on the World Bank Gender Strategy 2024-2030, which took place virtually, on 9 November 2023.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, Deputy Secretary General, participated to the 13th International Black Sea Symposium on “The Black Sea in crises: challenges and opportunities in an unstable environment”, organized by the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) on 2 November 2023 in Athens.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part in the 19th Meeting of the Ad-Hoc Working Group of Experts on the BSEC–EU Interaction that took place in Athens on 1 November 2023.
