The PABSEC Participation in the 4th Coordination Meeting of Parliamentary Assemblies and the 2nd Parliamentary Policy Dialogue, Vienna, 4-5 October 2023

On 4-5 October 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the 4th Coordination Meeting of Parliamentary Assemblies and the 2nd Parliamentary Policy Dialogue, which was organized in Vienna by the UNOCT Programme Office on Parliamentary Engagement with the support of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar, and in collaboration with the current Presidency of the Coordination Mechanism – OSCE PA and the Austrian Parliament.

61st Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee, Burgas, 2 October 2023

The 61st Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held in Burgas (Bulgaria) on 2 October 2023 upon the invitation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. The meeting was attended by the national delegations from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine, as well as a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat and members of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the Committee (Azerbaijan).

The PABSEC Participation in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament, Dublin, 28-29 September 2023

On 28-29 September 2023, in Dublin, upon the invitation of the Irish Parliament, the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament was held under the auspices of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and was attended by more than 60 Speakers or Deputy Speakers of Parliament and around 400 delegates representing partner and observer countries and interparliamentary assemblies.

On 19 September 2023, Mr. Mehmet Uylukcu, Secretary General of the Union of Road Transport Associations of the BSEC Member States (BSEC-URTA), Mr. Alpdogan Kahraman, Deputy Secretary General of BSEC-URTA and Ms. Sholpan Ispulaeva, Assistant Secretary General of BSEC-URTA, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.

Working Visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to Bucharest, Romania, 12 September 2023

On 12 September 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Bucharest, Romania and had meetings with the Presidents of the two Chambers of the Parliament of Romania and also, with the Rector of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAMV). The Secretary General was accompanied by Mr. Daniel Dulca, Deputy Secretary General.

Working Visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to Tirana, Republic of Albania, 5-8 September 2023

On 5-8 September 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Tirana, Republic of Albania, and had meetings with the President of the Republic, in the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, in the Ministry in Charge for Parliamentary Issues and in the National Academy of Sciences. The Secretary General was accompanied by Ms. Renata Meto, Secretary of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee.
