The 54th Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly began its work on 20 November 2019. Parliamentary delegations of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine take part in it. Also the representative of the Hellenic BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, the Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat, the Secretary General of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), the Director General of the International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) and the Secretary General of the Union of Road Transport Associations of the BSEC Member States (BSEC- URTA), PABSEC Special Representatives participate in the Session.

The Meetings of the Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure, the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held on the first day of the 54th PABSEC General Assembly on 19 November 2019.
The 54th Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly will be held in Sofia on 20-21 November 2019.

On 18 November 2019 Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, while in Sofia on the occasion of the preparation for the 54th PABSEC General Assembly, met with Mrs. Tsveta Karayancheva, PABSEC President, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Mr. Petar Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation also participated in the meeting.
Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the Regional Stakeholders Conference on Black Sea Synergy: the way forward, Athens, 7 November 2019
As a follow-up to the Ministerial Meeting on BSEC – EU Cooperation (Brussels, 18 June 2019), the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), within the framework of the Hellenic BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, organized the Regional Stakeholders Conference on ‘Black Sea Synergy: the way forward’, in Athens, Greece, on Thursday 7 November 2019. The PABSEC International Secretariat was represented by the PABSEC Deputy Secretary General Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis.

Participation of the PABSEC delegation in the observation of local elections in the Republic of Bulgaria, Sofia, 27 October 2019
The PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Cemal Ozturk, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, and Mr. Musa Guliyev, member of the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation, took part in the observation mission for local elections in the Republic of Bulgaria in Sofia on 27 October 2019.
The PABSEC Participation in the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement, Baku, 25-26 October 2019
The 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement was held in Baku on 25-26 October 2019 upon the invitation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who assumes the Presidency in this Organization for the next three years (2019-2022). At this event, the PABSEC was represented by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Participation in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament, Strasbourg, 24-25 October 2019
At the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg on 24-25 October 2019 the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament was held, which is organised every two years. The Conference was attended by the presidents of parliaments of the member states of the Council of Europe, partner and observer countries, as well as the presidents of international parliamentary assemblies. At this event, PABSEC was represented by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
