On 11 July 2019, the delegation of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking States (Turkic Council), composed of Mr. Gismat Gozalov, Deputy Secretary General, and the Mr. Farrukh Jumayev, Project Director, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Vice-Chairman of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee, member of the PABSEC Georgian delegation and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 28th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which was held in Luxembourg on 4-8 July 2019.
The Meeting of the Standing Committee on Economic, Social and Environmental Cooperation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) was organized in Milan on 4-5 July 2019. The PABSEC at this Meeting was represented by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General participated in the Coordination Meeting of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, the Committee of Senior Officials, BSEC Related Bodies and BSEC PERMIS, which was held at the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul, on 4 July 2019. The participants discussed and amended the BSEC Calendar of Events prepared for the period of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office of the Hellenic Republic (1 July -31 December 2019) and were informed on the priorities of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office of the Hellenic Republic under the motto “Black Sea, Green Energy, Blue Growth”.
The Second International Forum “Development of Parliamentarianism” was held in Moscow, at the World Trade Center, on 1-3 July 2019 upon the initiative of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Representatives of 132 states, including 41 speakers of parliament, and 14 international parliamentary organizations took part in the Forum. The PABSEC was represented at this Forum by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Petar Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in Sofia, on 28 June 2019, in the 40th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States.
On 26 June 2019, Mr. Marian Vasiliev, the former member of the Senate of Romania and of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The 53rd Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly continued its work in Baku on 21 June 2019.
The 53rd Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly is taking place in Baku upon the invitation of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. National delegations from the parliaments of Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine take part in the Plenary Session.
The meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held in Baku on 19 June 2019 on the first day of the 53rd PABSEC General Assembly.
