On 26 February 2020, Mr. Alexey Shved, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The 19th Winter Meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) was held on 20-21 February 2020 in Vienna, at the Hofburg Congress Center. At this event, the PABSEC was represented by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Vice-President and Head of the PABSEC Hellenic delegation Mr. Symeon Kedikoglou and the PABSEC Deputy Secretary General Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis participated to the 14th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), which took place on 19-21 February in Athens upon the invitation of the Hellenic Parliament.
The Parliamentary Hearings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union at the UN on the theme “Ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Promote Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All” were held on 17-18 February 2020 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The PABSEC was represented at this meeting by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.

On 14 February 2020, the meeting of the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission was held at the PABSEC International Secretariat.

On 12 February 2020, Mr. Mircea Lazar, Representative of the Romanian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General.
On 8-10 February 2020, the PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Petar Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation, Mr. Otar Danelia, Head of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, Mr. Ramaz Nikolashvili, Vice-Chairman of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and member of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, Mr. Maksim Shchablykin, member of the PABSEC Russian Delegation, Mr. Cemal Ozturk, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the monitoring of the early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
