Working visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to the Parliament of Georgia, Tbilisi, 19 April 2024
On 19 April 2024, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the Parliament of Georgia and met with Mr. Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.
The PABSEC Secretary General thanked the Chairman of the Parliament for organizing the meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Legal Affairs and International Cooperation and informed about the organizational and preparatory work for the PABSEC General Assembly to be held on 13-15 May 2024. The PABSEC Secretary General noted the role of the delegation of the Parliament of Georgia in the activities of the Assembly and expressed hope for the restoration of stability in the region.
Mr. Shalva Papuashvili expressed full support for the activities of the PABSEC and noted that Georgia attaches great importance to cooperation within the Assembly. The Chairman assured that the PABSEC Georgian delegation will continue to contribute to the work of the Assembly. The increasing importance of developing the Middle Corridor was also highlighted.
The Meeting was attended by Mr. Irakli Mezunishvili, Head of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, and Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, PABSEC Vice-President, member of the PABSEC Georgian delegation.
