Working visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (Republic of Azerbaijan), 17 April 2024
On 17 April 2024, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (Republic of Azerbaijan) and held official meetings with the representatives of the local authorities.
During the Meeting with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Mr. Fuad Najafli, the PABSEC Secretary General presented information on the structure and activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the upcoming meetings. Also, views were exchanged on the latest developments in the Wider Black Sea Region. Mr. Fuad Najafli informed the PABSEC Secretary General on the social and political life of the Autonomous Republic and expressed interest in the activities of the Parliamentary Assembly. Mutual interest was stated in enhancing partnership between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the PABSEC for the benefit of all peoples and countries of the region.
During the meeting with Mr. Anar Ibrahimov, Acting Chairman of the Ali Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the PABSEC Secretary General presented brief information on the structure and activities of the PABSEC and proposed to hold a PABSEC event in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Mr. Anar Ibrahimov introduced the PABSEC Secretary General to the legislative activities of the Ali Majlis and expressed interest in developing cooperation with the PABSEC within the framework of available formats.
