Working Visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to Rize (Republic of Türkiye), 16 December 2025
On 16 December 2025, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the city of Rize with the aim to participate in the preparatory work for the Second International Ayder Forum to be organised in Ayder (Rize, Republic of Türkiye) on 14-17 January 2026.
In the framework of this visit, a meeting was organised with the participation of Mr. İhsan Selim Baydaş, Governor of Rize, representatives of the Rize Municipality and local administrations, the Executive Board officials of the non-governmental organisations, initiators of this event, All Bureaucrats and Businessmen Association (TÜMBİAD), and Bureaucrats and Businessmen Association of Rize City (RİBİAD) as well as representatives of local institutions and organisations.
During the meeting the draft agenda and program of the said event were discussed, and the responsibilities of the organisers were evaluated.
Mr. İhsan Selim Baydaş, Governor of Rize, appreciated Mr. Asaf Hajiyev for the support of the PABSEC and its International Secretariat with the realisation of the First International Ayder Forum in 2024. Mr. Governor, expressed his confidence in the high professionalism and valuable contribution of PABSEC to be repeated for the Second Meeting in 2026.
PABSEC Secretary General, expressed his appreciation for the successful organisation and fruitful results of the First Meeting of the International Ayder Forum and highlighted that such events organised by non-governmental organisations and local governments are important for enhancing cooperation among the BSEC Member States. Mr. Hajiyev emphasised that PABSEC will continue to ensure participation of the parliamentarians from the BSEC Member States and expressed readiness to provide necessary support to the organisation of the Second International Ayder Forum. Mr. Hajiyev also emphasised further cooperation between the PABSEC and Ayder Forum.
In the framework of the visit Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the meeting venue and planned social activity areas. During the visit in Rize, Mr. Hajiyev was accompanied by Mr. Ali Gürkan Üstündağ, Administrative Officer of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
