Visit of the Former President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova to the PABSEC International Secretariat, Istanbul, 15 February 2024
On 15 February 2024, the former President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, academician Gheorghe Duca, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Secretary General welcomed the guest to Istanbul and thanked him for participating in the First Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States, which was organized upon the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. He noted the importance of the contribution of the scientific community to the strengthening cooperation in the Wider Black Sea Region.
Academician Gheorghe Duca thanked the PABSEC Secretary General for the successful holding of the Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States. He noted the high interest of representatives of national academies of sciences in further strengthening cooperation and the need to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
