Visit of Mr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, to the PABSEC International Secretariat, Istanbul, 23 October 2023
On 23 February 2023, Mr. Akkan Suver, President the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul, and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
During the meeting, Mr. Akkan Suver informed the PABSEC Secretary General about the work of the Marmara Group Foundation and about his participation in the Third “Belt and Road” Forum organized by the President of the People's Republic of China Mr. Xi Jinping in Beijing on 17-18 October 2023 dedicated to the ten years of launching the initiative. The Forum was attended by representatives of 140 countries and 30 international organizations, government leaders, and representatives of the business community. He also informed about the Foundation’s plans.
The PABSEC Secretary General thanked the guest for the visit and informed about the preparations for the 62nd PABSEC General Assembly, which will be held in Kyiv on 15-17 November 2023, as well as about the current and future activities of the Assembly within the framework of the Ukrainian PABSEC Presidency.
It was noted that representatives of the PABSEC and the Marmara Group Foundation take part in various activities of each other on regular basis and that strengthening cooperation is beneficial for both organizations.
