Visit of Ambassador Merve Kavakcı, First Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat, to the PABSEC International Secretariat, Istanbul, 3 December 2025
On 3 December 2025, Ambassador Merve Kavakcı, First Deputy Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the BSEC Organization, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Ambassador Kavakcı conveyed, on behalf of the BSEC PERMIS, condolences on the passing of the PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Cemal Ozturk. She also informed the Secretary General about the current initiatives of the BSEC PERMIS under the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office.
The PABSEC Secretary General briefed Ambassador Kavakcı on the current and future activities of the Assembly, as well as on the outcomes of the Committee Meetings held during the second half of 2025. He also highlighted the results of the 66th PABSEC General Assembly, held in Sofia on 23–25 November 2025, and informed that the PABSEC Presidency had been transferred to the Parliament of Georgia.
