The PABSEC Participation in the 51st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States, 19 December 2025
Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 51st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States, which was held online on 19 December 2025.
The Meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States, as well as representatives of BSEC Related Bodies, observers, sectoral dialogue partners and guests.
Ms. Elena Shekerletova, BSEC Chairperson-in-Office, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, and Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS addressed the opening of the meeting.
During the Meeting, the ministers exchanged views on various aspects of the activities of the Organization and cooperation in the BSEC region. The Council took note of the reports on the meetings of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, discussed and adopted draft resolutions, decisions and recommendations that were presented by the Committee of Senior Officials.
In his speech, Mr. Kolisnychenko informed the participants about the outcomes of the 66th PABSEC General Assembly, which took place on 23-25 November 2025 in Sofia under the PABSEC Bulgarian Presidency. He also informed them about the planned events in the first half of 2026 and emphasized that the Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States will be held in May 2026 in Sofia, upon the invitation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He further noted that the International Rize Ayder Energy Forum will be organised with the support of PABSEC on 14–17 January 2026 in Rize, Republic of Türkiye.
The BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office was transferred from the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia, whose term of office begins on 1 January 2026.
