The Fifty-Ninth Meeting of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Fifty Second Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee, Yerevan, 26 November 2018
The meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and of the Standing Committee took place in Yerevan, on 26 November 2018.
During the Fifty-Ninth meeting of the PABSEC Bureau, the members considered: the Minutes of its Fifty-Eighth Meeting, the Draft Agenda of the Fifty-Second Meeting of the Standing Committee, the Draft Agenda of the Fifty-Second Plenary Session, the Draft Programme of the Fifty-Second General Assembly, the Matters of Procedure of the Fifty-Second Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly, the Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly and the participation of the PABSEC representatives in international gatherings between December 2018- June 2019. The Bureau took note of the information on the execution of the Assembly’s Budget.
The Bureau endorsed the candidature for the position of PABSEC Vice-President in charge of Financial Matters and the candidatures for the positions of PABSEC Deputy Secretary General in charge of Interparliamentary Relations and Protocol and PABSEC Deputy Secretary General in charge of Administrative and Financial Matters, for the election at the Plenary Session. The Bureau endorsed the candidature for the position of the PABSEC Secretary General for the elections to be held in Baku, in June 2019.
The Fifty-Second Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee approved the Minutes of its Fifty-First Meeting, adopted the Draft Agenda of the Fifty-Second Plenary Session, endorsed the Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly, approved the proposals of the committees concerning the subjects to be considered in the first half of 2019, and adopted the PABSEC Calendar 2019. The members of the Standing Committee took note of the information regarding the participation of the PABSEC representatives in international gatherings, between June – November 2018 and the information on receipt of contributions to the 2018 Budget.
The Ukrainian Delegation delivered a statement regarding the situation in the Azov and the Black Seas.
The Fifty-Second Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly will be held in Yerevan, on 27-28 November 2018.
