The 65th Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Social and Humanitarian Policy (Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan), 7–8 October 2025
The 65th Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Social and Humanitarian Policy was held in Baku (Republic of Azerbaijan) on 7–8 October 2025, upon the invitation of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Türkiye and Ukraine, as well as a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat, secretaries of national delegations, representatives of the Ayder Forum and members of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the Committee, member of the PABSEC Azerbaijani delegation.
At the opening ceremony, the participants were addressed by Mr. Ziyafat Asgarov, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the PABSEC Committee on Social and Humanitarian Policy, Mr. Eldar Guliyev, PABSEC Vice-President in charge of Financial Matters, Head of the PABSEC Azerbaijani delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The Committee adopted the draft Report and Recommendation 207/2025 “Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development in the BSEC Region – Social Aspects”, which will be submitted to the 66th Plenary Session of the General Assembly.
The Committee took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Organization presented by Ms. Sandra Vujinovic, Executive Manager of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.
The next, 66th Meeting of the Committee, will be held in the Republic of Albania in spring 2026. It was proposed to discuss “Cultural Diplomacy for Strengthening Relationships and Cooperation in the Black Sea Region” as the main issue, and a representative of the new Albanian delegation was appointed as the Rapporteur on the Report.
