Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the 50th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, 27 June 2025
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part in the Fiftieth Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of the BSEC Member States, which was held online on 27 June 2025.
Mr. Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and BSEC Chairman-in Office, chaired the meeting. In addition to the Heads of Delegations of the BSEC Member States, representatives of the BSEC Related Bodies, Observers and Sectoral Dialogue Partners also participated in the Council Meeting.
At the opening, the BSEC PERMIS Secretary General Ambassador Lazar Comanescu presented a brief overview of the activities and achievements of the Organization during the Azerbaijani Chairmanship (1 January – 30 June 2025).
The Ministers made statements on issues regarding the latest developments in the region and within the Organization.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev informed the participants about the results of the 65th PABSEC General Assembly held in Baku on 17-19 June May 2025 under the PABSEC Azerbaijani Presidency, the PABSEC Calendar of events and the planned activities for the second half of 2025. He noted that the PABSEC Presidency passed to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.
