Participation of Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, 16 October 2025, Istanbul
On 16 October 2025, Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, which took place at the headquarters of the BSEC Organization in Istanbul.
The Meeting was attended by representatives of the BSEC Member States, BSEC Related Bodies, as well as BSEC the observers and sectoral dialogue partners.
The Meeting was chaired by Ms. Rositsa Stoeva, National Coordinator of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC Organization, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The Committee took note of the Report of Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS, on the activities of the BSEC PERMIS, as well as information on the meetings of the BSEC Working Groups, which took place in the first half of 2025.
The Committee discussed the issue of interaction between the BSEC and the EU and took note of the information on the activities of BSEC Related Bodies.
Mr. Kolisnychenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, informed the participants about the results of the 65th General Assembly, which was held in Baku on 17-19 June 2025. He informed the participants about the preparation of the 66thGeneral assemly to be held in Sofia on 23-25 November 2025, as well as about the activities of the PABSEC Committee meetings. He emphasized that the 3rd Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States will be held on 15 May 2026 in the Republic of Bulgaria. He underlined the importance of interaction between the BSEC and the PABSEC and expressed hope for continuation of the constructive cooperation.
In accordance with the Calendar of Events under the Bulgarian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office the Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs Foreign of the BSEC Member States is scheduled to be held on 19 December 2025.
