PABSEC Participation in the Spring Session of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments, 17 April 2026, Istanbul
On 17 April 2026, Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part in the activities of the Spring Session of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (ASGP), held in Istanbul in the framework of the events of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
During the plenary sitting, participants considered organisational matters of the Session, welcomed new members and reviewed issues related to the elections within the Association.
Mr. Huseyin Kursat Kırbıyı, Secretary General of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye delivered a presentation on the parliamentary system of the Republic of Türkiye.
The working programme further included discussions under the theme “In the news and innovations at parliament”, covering digital transformation, institutional openness, and the use of new technologies in parliamentary practice.
The participation of the PABSEC representative in the event contributed to maintaining institutional contacts with senior parliamentary officials from different countries, as well as to promoting inter-parliamentary dialogue and strengthening cooperation between PABSEC, national parliaments and international parliamentary organisations.
