PABSEC Participation in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, Istanbul, 17 December 2025
On 17 December 2025, Mr. Borys Kolysnichenko, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, held at the headquarters of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Istanbul.
The Meeting was attended by representatives of the BSEC Member States, BSEC Related Bodies, as well as BSEC Observers and Sectoral Dialogue Partners.
The Meeting was chaired by Ms. Rositsa Stoeva, representative of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC.
The Committee took note of the Report of Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat (PERMIS), on the activities of the BSEC PERMIS, as well as information on the meetings of the BSEC Working Groups held during the second half of 2025.
Mr. Borys Kolysnichenko informed the participants about the results of the 66th General Assembly of the PABSEC, which was held in Sofia on 23–25 November 2025. He also provided information on the planned activities for the first half of 2026 and emphasized that the Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States will be held in May 2026 in Sofia, upon the invitation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He further noted the International Rize Ayder Energy Forum, to be held on 14–17 January 2026 in Rize, Republic of Türkiye, in which the PABSEC will participate as a co-organiser.
As of 1 January 2026, the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office will pass to Georgia for the period from 1 January to 30 June 2026.
