PABSEC Participation in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, 21 April 2026
On 21 April 2026, Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, Deputy Secretary General of PABSEC, participated in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, held at the headquarters of the BSEC Organization in Istanbul.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the BSEC Member States, BSEC-related bodies, as well as observers and sectoral dialogue partners.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Archil Karaulashvili, representative of the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office and Head of the Directorate for Security Policy, International Organisations and Euro-Atlantic Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The Committee took note of the report presented by Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS, on its activities, as well as information on the meetings of the BSEC Working Groups held in the first half of 2026.
Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko informed the participants about the outcomes of the PABSEC Committee meetings convened during the first half of 2026. He noted that the 3rd Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States will be held on 15 May 2026 in Sofia. He also briefed participants on the preparations for the 67th PABSEC General Assembly, which will take place in Georgia from 29 June to 1 July 2026. He underlined the importance of interaction between the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and PABSEC and expressed hope for the continuation of constructive cooperation.
The next Meeting of the Committee of Senior Officials will be held on 9–10 June 2026 at the BSEC Headquarters.
