PABSEC Participation in the Coordination Meeting of the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, Istanbul, 2 of February 2026
Mrs. Valentina Cobzareanu, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the Coordination meeting of the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, which was held online on 2 February 2026.
Mrs. Cobzareanu informed the participants about the PABSEC's current and forthcoming activities in the first half of 2026 and wished every success to the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office.
The Meeting was attended by representatives of the BSEC Member States, the BSEC Related Bodies, BSEC observers, and BSEC Sectoral Dialogue Partners.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, the BSEC PERMIS Secretary General, wished the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office success and expressed full commitment for the implementation of its priorities.
The Director of the Department for Security Policy, International Organisations, and Euro-Atlantic Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Archil Karaulashvili, presented the CiO’s priorities (1 January – 30 June 2026) underscoring a commitment to enhancing and strenghthening cooperation in the Black Sea Region.
The BSEC Calendar of Events for the period of the Georgian Chairmanship (1 January–30 June 2026) was also presented and discussed during the meeting.
