Meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and of the PABSEC Standing Committee, 17 June 2025, Baku
The meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held on 17 June 2025 in Baku and were chaired by H. E. Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Seventieth Meeting of the Bureau of the Assembly adopted: Minutes of the Sixty-Ninth Meeting of the Bureau, Draft Agenda of the Sixty-Fifth Meeting of the Standing Committee, Draft Agenda of the Sixty-Fifth Plenary Session, Draft Program of the Sixty-Fifth General Assembly, Matters of Procedure of the Sixty-Fifth Session of the PABSEC General Assembly, Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly and participation of PABSEC representatives in international gatherings. The Bureau took note of the information on the execution of the Budget of the Assembly.
The Bureau approved the candidacies for the positions of PABSEC Vice-Presidents for the elections at the Plenary Session.
The Bureau decided to hold its next meeting in Sofia in November this year.
The 65th Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee approved the minutes of the 64th Meeting, adopted the draft Agenda of the 65th Plenary Session of the General Assembly, approved the Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly, and also the proposals of the Committees on the issues to be considered in the second half of 2025 and the PABSEC Calendar for 2025.
The members of the Standing Committee took note of the information on the participation of the PABSEC representatives in international gatherings, from December 2024 to June 2025. The Standing Committee also took note of the information on the Auditing Report for the 2024 financial year, the receipt of contributions to the 2025 budget, and the draft PABSEC Budget for the 2026 financial year. The Standing Committee recommended submitting to the Plenary Decision the Draft Decision regarding the work of the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission.
The Standing Committee decided to hold its next meeting in Sofia in November this year.
