The PABSEC Participation in the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ankara, 3 June 2023
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which took place on 3 June 2023 in the building of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye in Ankara.
Representatives of 78 countries of the world, including more than 21 Heads of State and Government, as well as representatives of international organizations, arrived in Ankara for the ceremony.
President Erdogan read out the text of the oath to the people of Turkiye. The Acting Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mr. Devlet Bahceli, handed over to the Head of State a document testifying his victory in the presidential elections. The term of office of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was re-elected as Head of State in the elections on 28 May, will last until 2028.
The program of ceremonial events continued at the Presidential Complex, where President Erdogan received congratulations. An official dinner in honour of the high-ranking guests was given at the Cankaya Palace.
