PABSEC Participation in the online Meeting of the BSEC-URTA Working Party on the Role of Women in Road Transport, 9 September 2025
On 9 September 2025, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Borys Kolisnychenko, took part in the online Meeting of the BSEC-URTA Working Party on the Role of Women in Road Transport.
The meeting brought together representatives of BSEC-URTA Member Associations, international experts, and partner institutions from the BSEC region. The participants discussed the role of women in the transport sector and explored initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and inclusiveness across the BSEC region.
In his address, Mr. Kolisnychenko underlined that transport is not only about technical and economic sphere, but above all about people, where equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusiveness are essential for sustainable development. He stressed that empowering women and ensuring their active participation in the transport sector not only guarantees fairness, but also brings valuable talent and innovation to the sector.
During the meeting, the participants also discussed opportunities for cooperation with international partners, including the OECD and the International Transport Forum (ITF), with a view to further strengthening women’s empowerment in the road transport sector.
