Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the Coordination Meeting of the Turkish BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office with the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, the BSEC Related Bodies and the BSEC PERMIS, 12 July 2023
On 12 July 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part Coordination Meeting of the Turkish BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office with the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, the BSEC Related Bodies and the BSEC PERMIS, which was organized virtually.
The Meeting was attended by representatives of the BSEC Member States, the BSTDB, the ICBSS, the BSEC Business Council (BSEC BC), BSEC observers, and sectoral dialogue partners. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Rauf DENKTAŞ, Deputy Director General, Minister Plenipotentiary, Deputy Directorate General for Multilateral Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye.
The participants took note and made their remarks on the draft Calendar of events scheduled for the second semester of 2023, and they were informed about the priorities of the Turkish BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office.
Among the priorities are the updating of the BSEC Economic Agenda, the activating of the Project Development Fund, the reactivating of the BSEC Business Council, the resuming of the work of the BSEC Coordination Centre for the Exchange of Statistical Data and Economic Information, the strengthening of the External relations of the BSEC and the PERMIS, the strengthening the Troika mechanism, etc.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev informed the participants about the coming meetings of the PABSEC committees, the next PABSEC plenary session, and other activities of the Assembly that are planned for the second half of 2023.
