The PABSEC marks the day of its establishment

We congratulate all the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation on the day of the establishment of the Assembly and wish many more years of cooperation for the benefit of the states and the peoples in the BSEC Region.

26 February 1993 is the birthday of the PABSEC, whose goal is to achieve a higher level of multilateral regional cooperation, through enhancing parliamentary diplomacy and effective implementation of the goals and objectives enshrined in the Summit Declaration and the Bosporus Statement signed on 25 June 1992.

The key to successful cooperation within the PABSEC framework is the ongoing commitment to the “spirit of the PABSEC”, which maintains the atmosphere of mutual trust, consultations, and common solutions based on a broad consensus.

In order to attain the common goals, the Assembly calls on the governments, parliaments, civil society, the private sector, and other stakeholders involved in the BSEC process for more active cooperation, which should be strengthened.
