Working Visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to the Parliament of Georgia, 22-23 May 2026
On 22 May 2026, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to the Parliament of Georgia and held a meeting with Mr. Shalva Papuashvili, PABSEC President and Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the forthcoming 67th PABSEC General Assembly, to be held in Georgia on 29 June–1 July 2026, as well as organizational matters related to its preparation. Special attention was paid to the upcoming AIPA–PABSEC Joint Conference and the necessary arrangementsrelated to its organization.
Mr. Hajiyev expressed his appreciation for the continued support provided to PABSEC activities and emphasized the important role of the PABSEC Georgian Presidency in ensuring the successful implementation of the planned events.
Mr. Papuashvili reaffirmed his full support for the activities of PABSEC and its International Secretariat and expressed readiness to continue close cooperation in the preparation and organization of the forthcoming events.
Ms. Nino Bujiashvili, Secretary of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, also took part in the meeting.
Within the framework of his visit to Georgia, the PABSEC Secretary General also held a meeting with Mr. Irakli Mezurnishvili, Head of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation.
