Participation of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, in the Second International Parliamentary Conference of the OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group, Minsk, 29-30 April 2019
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Second International Parliamentary Conference of the OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group “Belt and Road: Deepening Cooperation for Sustainable Development and Prosperity”, jointly organized together with the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk on 29-30 April 2019.
Mr. Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. George Tsereteli, President of the OSCE PA, Mr. Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr. Luo Zhanhui, Charge d'Affaires of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Azay Guliyev, Vice-President of the OSCE PA, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, addressed the opening of the Conference.
The PABSEC Secretary General in his speech noted the importance of multilateral international cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative for the PABSEC and spoke about the activities of the Assembly in this area of cooperation in the BSEC region.
The Conference discussed such important issues as investment policy, economic cooperation, development of infrastructure projects, humanitarian cooperation, tourism attractiveness, etc. In conclusion, the Minsk Declaration was adopted.
On the side-lines of the event, the PABSEC Secretary General had meetings with Mr. Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. George Tsereteli, President of the OSCE PA, and Mr. Azay Guliyev, Vice-President of the OSCE PA.
