3rd Meeting of the PABSEC Technological and Technological Affairs Committee, Istanbul, 31 October 2023
The 3rd Meeting of the PABSEC Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee was held on 31 October 2023 in Istanbul with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
National delegations from Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, North Macedonia, Romania, Türkiye and Ukraine took part in the Meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, member of the PABSEC Georgian delegation, Vice-Chair of the PABSEC Technological and Affairs Committee.
The Committee discussed the draft Report and Recommendation 193/2023 “National Strategies in the Field of Artificial Intelligence, in the BSEC Member States”, which will be submitted for consideration to the 62nd Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly.
The Committee took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Organization presented by Mr. Ashot Kocharyan, Executive Director of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.
The next 4th Meeting of the Committee will take place in the spring of 2024, the date and venue of the Committee are being negotiated. It was decided to discuss “New Approaches for Reaching Zero Carbon Emission in the Black Sea Region” as the main issue. The Rapporteur on the Report will be Mr. Nazim Maviş, member of the PABSEC Turkish delegation.
