Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 24th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), in Baku, on 23 June 2022, which was chaired by Mr. Samir Sharifov, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Board of Governors approved the Financial Statements for 2021 and assessed the Bank’s performance, which has been profitable over the last seventeen years. It was noted that in 2021, the BSTDB continued to implement the Medium-Term Strategy and Business Plan for 2019–2022 and diversified its policies, to help the business community in the BSEC region.

Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took the floor at the Meeting and provided a brief information on the activities of the Assembly, in the first half of 2022. He also noted the important role played by the BSTDB in the enhancement of investment and business in the region.

The next Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank will be held in Bulgaria, in June 2023.
