On 22 June 2022, Mr. Aydin Jafarov, Deputy Secretary General of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member Countries of the CIS, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul and met with Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General.

Mr. Dulca welcomed Mr. Jafarov and discussed with him issues of enhancing interparliamentary cooperation at various levels. It was stressed that the parliamentary assemblies within their competences need to promote international peace and security and contribute to sustainable enforcement of international law.

Mr. Jafarov informed about the main directions of the activities of the IPA CIS and exchanged views regarding possible framework of intensifying and enlarging mutually beneficial cooperation between the PABSEC and the IPA CIS.
