On 21 June 2022, the PABSEC delegation composed of Mr. Igor Becic, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and met with the PABSEC Russian delegation.

At the meeting were discussed issues regarding the present and future activities of the PABSEC, as well as the preparatory work for the events dedicated to the 30^th Anniversary of the PABSEC, in 2023. Also, the role of parliamentary diplomacy and consolidation of the interparliamentary cooperation in the Black Sea region was emphasized.

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Igor Becic took over the PABSEC Presidency, which will begin on 1 July 2022. The tentative programme of the activities under the Serbian Presidency in the second half of 2022 was discussed.

During the meeting, the PABSEC Secretary General informed the participants about the work of the PABSEC Committees in the second half of 2022. It was also noted that the first meeting of the new PABSEC Committee on Technological and Environmental Affairs, will be held in autumn. The Secretary General discussed issues regarding the International Secretariat personnel that will be considered during the 2022 Autumn PABSEC General Assembly in Serbia.
