Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 25^th Eurasian Economic Summit, entitled “A Success Story that Started 25 Years Ago”, which took place in Istanbul, on 8 June 2022, being organized by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation.

The event was attended by high-level officials, parlamentarians, diplomats, representatives of Parliamentary Assemblies and of NGO’s and by members of the business and of the academic communities.

At the opening ceremony, interventions were made by: Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, Mr. Mustafa Gultepe, President of Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Associations, Mr. Ismail Gulle, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Mr. Daniel Dulca, Deputy Secretary General of the PABSEC, Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS, H.E. Mr. Milo Dukanovic, President of Montenegro, and Ambassador Yavuz Selim Kiran, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye addressed the participants. A video message was presented to the participants, by H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, High Representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.

In his intervention, Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, gave a short presentation on the PABSEC, appreciated the very good cooperation between the PABSEC and the Marmara Group Foundation along the years, and focused on the negative impact of the COVID -19 pandemic over the world economy. He underlined that the conflicts which are existing in the Black Sea region are entailing innocent peoples’ suffering and lead to the increase of the number of refugees in the world and particularly, in the region and brings damage to the world economy, of more than 500 billion USD. His remarks were concluded by the logo “Peace, Cooperation and Reconciliation”, being emphasized that we are all one family and we must bring our contribution to build a common future, where peace, health, prosperity and stability should govern not only our region, but the whole world.

The following subjects were also tackled within the Agenda: A New Energy Economy; Dialogue of Cities; Towards a Greener World; Crises in Food, Supply and Commodity; After Covid-19 and Ukraine - Russia War.

The 25^th Eurasian Economic Forum gave the possibility to the world’s top scientists in economics, energy, health, climate and telecommunications, also to academicians, politicians, policy makers, business stakeholders, youth and civil society, to engage in addressing the most crucial issues on the global agenda.
