The 58^th Meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee was held online, on 12 April 2022, with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat.

The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Türkiye and Ukraine, and also by a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Petar Kanev, Chairman of the Committee (Bulgaria).

The Committee decided to update the content and postpone the discussions of the Report and Recommendation 185/2022 “Challenges and Prospects of the Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture in the BSEC Member States after the Pandemic”, until the PABSEC General Assembly, in June 2022.

The Committee elected Mr. Sergey Bagratyan, member of the PABSEC Armenian delegation, to the post of Vice-Chairman of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee, for a term of office of two years.

The Committee took note of the information on the current activities of the BSEC Organization, which was presented by Mr. Sergey Goncharenko, Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.

The Committee took also note of the recommendation made by the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission, in February 2022, according to which all the following PABSEC meetings shall not be organised online.
