The 58^th Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held online, on 6 April 2022, with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat.

The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Türkiye and Ukraine, also by a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the Committee (Azerbaijan).

Upon the proposal of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation and given the difficult socio-economic situation in the Region, the Committee decided to update the content of the Report and Recommendation 187/2022 “Social Impact of Refugee Crisis in the BSEC Member States” and to postpone the discussions until its Fifty-Ninth Meeting.

The Committee took note of the information on the current activities of the BSEC Organization presented by Mr. Sergey Goncharenko, Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.

The next 59^th Meeting of the Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee will be held in Albania on 12-13 October 2022.
